Geheimen van het Wandkleed

For my internship project I worked at museum/city-palace het Markiezenhof to create an interactive, educational story around a historic, 16th century tapestry. Het Markiezenhof is unveiling a new storytelling concept based around keeping and sharing secrets. To introduce this concept they wanted one of the galleries dedicated to giving the audience a taste of things to come. My role in this would be to provide an example, focused around a historical object. The tapestry, which depicts the Colosseum, is part of a series of tapestries around the Wonders of the Ancient World.

Each of the works I created is an interactive installation. When a viewer sits on the stool, the work comes to life and starts a personal conversation, telling the viewer about a different aspect of the tapestry, and sharing an intimate secret with them.
